ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
ANOVA DATA CAMPUS
TARGETS BREEAM EXCELLENT
AND LEED GOLD
The design will reflect the requirement to minimise the consumption of all energy, this will be reflected in the measurement of their annualised PUE's (Defined by green grid). Selection of the cooling system format and type is key along with reducing electrical system losses
by careful selection of UPS and transformers. Free air cooling will be used for heat rejection, ventilation. Use of mechanical vapour compression cooling will be limited to peak ambient temperatures. A variety of on-site energy sources can be used.
These include photo-voltaic arrays, wind turbines, bore hole heat rejection and CHP plants using gas, bioethanol or biomass, whichever source is selected it will complement the main electrical supply provided by the local DNO. An energy strategy has been prepared for the site.
